You'll Never Guess What I Did

It was a day meant for walking across the Golden Gate Bridge.  It was beautifully sunny, hardly a breeze, not a cloud in the sky.  My friend Sigrid (the beauty on the left) and new friend Tiffany (the other beauty on the right) and I rode BART from Fremont to San Francisco, and caught the bus to the bridge.  We struck up a conversation with a gentleman named Rick while waiting for the bus.  He was so impressed with us and my story of wanting to walk across the bridge, he insisted on paying our bus fare to the bridge.  Turns out he was going to Petaluma for a funeral and wanted to do something nice on such a somber day.

We got to the bridge and it was just gorgeous!  We walked the 1.9 miles from the south end to the north end took pictures along the way and once we got to the other side, we hopped on an open-top double decker bus to the other side.  From there, we took another city bus to Fort Mason, walked another 2 miles before realizing that we walked 2 miles out of the way to get to the bus stop we needed to get down to Pier 39!

We had lunch/dinner at Boudin's (the very best sourdough IN THE WORLD), walked down to Ghirardelli Square, window shopped and finished off the day with ice cream from Ghirardelli!

I'm so glad that Sigrid and Tiffany were able to join me for the fun!  It really was one of my best days so far.

How cool is that. Good thinkin to get video of it. I love the video of you on the double decker smiling and then having to moisten your mouth as you are getting blasted with air.
glad you are having fun.
